Bitget: the exchnage's “monstrous” deal with LaLiga
By Davide Grammatica
The Bitget exchange becomes LaLiga's official trading partner following a more than $10 million deal
LaLiga chooses Bitget
Sponsorship deals of crypto companies in the sports world continue to be renewed. This round it is Bitget‘s turn, which signs a historic agreement with LaLiga, Spain’s premier soccer league as well as one of the most watched soccer competitions in the world.
The exchange thus becomes an official partner for selected regions, including East and Southeast Asia and Latin America, for a more than $10 million, two- to three-year partnership, functional in bringing the brand to an ever-widening audience.
As pointed out by Vugar Usi Zade, chief operating officer of Bitget, the multimillion-dollar partnership would also be functional in exploring “the technological intersection between crypto and sports,” with the goal of bringing wider adoption of Web3 solutions to emerging markets.
#Bitget is thrilled to announce that we're the Official Crypto Partner of @LaLigaEN, spanning across the EASTERN, SEA, and LATAM regions ✨#LALIGA is the world's most celebrated football league and cradle for top football talents and Ballon d'Or winners.

Sports in the service of CeFi
“Over the past decade, digitization and innovation have been among LaLiga’s priorities,” said, however, Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga. “And we have put an emphasis on technology to be pioneers in this.” Not coincidentally, again, Spain’s premier soccer league has collaborated with other crypto entities before, as happened with Dapper Labs when it launched a dedicated NFT collection.
This vision seems to be similar to that of Gracy Chen, ceo of Bitget, who points out that the partnership in question goes far beyond simple marketing and brand visibility. Indeed, it will also focus, for example, on greater investment in education.
That the world of sports can offer a boost to the CeFi world, at any rate, now seems clear. And Bitget in this seems to be following the example of competitors such as OKX and Crypto.com, which have already been present for years in competitions such as Formula 1 and the UEFA Champions League.
