Solana: activity at record levels thanks (again) to Pump.Fun
By Davide Grammatica
Pump.Fun launchpad metrics are hitting new records these days, so much so that some are already preparing for a new meme-season on Solana
Memecoin on the rebound on Solana
With Bitcoin continually struggling to maintain $68k, the altcoin world in general seems to be in a holding pattern. The more “degen,” however, seem to be moving early, either out of boredom in a period of low volatility and little speculation, or to take the market by storm.
And what better place to do that than Solana? So far, evidently, none, as memecoin launchpad Pump.Fun has returned to record numbers, the likes of which have not been seen since early 2024.
As DeFiLlama reports, daily active addresses on the platform have reportedly reached 78 thousand in these hours , 20 percent higher than the previous high (65 thousand at the end of July). New tokens created in a single day also hit a record high of 25 thousand last October 14.
The platform is now again among the top 5 protocols to record the most “revenue” on Solana, with $7.3 million collected in the last week alone.
The data appear to be an early symptom of a change in investor sentiment. For that matter, the likelihood that BTC will again certify its bullish stance is increasing sharply, resulting in an equally bullish response from the rest of the industry.
The news for SOL
In one month, SOL is up 15 percent on the back of enthusiasm for the new Firedancer validator and new prospects for network scalability. As Coinglass reports, trading volume increased in the same time by 24.8 percent ($4.76 billion).
A new record was then touched by TVL, which came in at 41 million SOL for the first time in two years. This was in contrast to Ethereum, which remained with its TVL unchanged.
