Among the leading figures in the industry, Marszalek is among the first to meet with the president, now nearing his return to the White House, on Jan. 20.
During the meeting, the two addressed issues central to the future of the industry, such as possible assignments in the finance departments, legislative strategies to be adopted, and key policies on which the new administration will focus. Sources familiar with the meeting also state how the topic of Bitcoin as a reserve asset was also covered.
“We look forward to working with the new administration to develop and advance clear regulations for the cryptocurrency industry,” a Crypto.com spokesperson tells Bloomberg.
The withdrawal of the lawsuit with the SEC and CRO's reaction
The outlook, especially the regulatory outlook, seems positive for the future of the industry.
In this regard, Crypto.com following the meeting, withdrew its lawsuit against the SEC, stating its intent to work cooperatively with the incoming administration. A lawsuit filed in October, after receiving a Wells notice from the SEC.
After the meeting was announced via a post on X by Marszalek, CRO ‘s price rose 15 percent to a round level of $0.20.
