Eth re-staking: EIGEN trasferibile dal 30 settembre
By Daniele Corno
ETH's re-staking platform, Eigenlayer, announces the start of EIGEN token transfer on Sept. 30
The distribution of the Eigen token
The main token re-staking protocol ETH, Eigenlayer, is preparing for a major update.
As of Sept. 30, users will be able to proceed with the transfer of EIGEN tokens between multiple addresses, private or centralized entities.
EIGEN, was in fact distributed to the community via airdrop in two phases, the last of which is currently underway. However, users who were eligible forairdrop were only allowed to make the claim and put the tokens they received into Staking, as the transfer was subject to a time block set by the Foundation.
EIGEN token transfers ready
The communication comes via a tweet from the Eigen Foundation, the team behind the developments of the Eigenlayer protocol. Users will then be able to make transfers of tokens received through Airdrop.
The next major step in the evolution of EIGEN is coming soon!
Transfer restrictions on the EIGEN token are expected to be removed on September 30th, 2024.
Please note that if your EIGEN is currently staked, there is a 7-day withdrawal period for unstaking EIGEN.

The statement also specifies that users who have deposited their EIGENs in staking will have to wait a 7-day time constraint to remove them.
The importance of Eigenlayer and the price expectations of EIGEN
Eigenlayer is an extremely important protocol in the industry. In fact, it is leading the re-staking category of ETH, with a total value locked (TVL) reported by Defillama to be over $12 billion, down 40 percent from its peak levels.
Currently, the EIGEN token is available for trading on the pre markets of various exchanges. Traders on Bybit assign a value to the token before it is released to the public of$3.75 Usdt per unit. With a maximum supply of 1.67 billion tokens, the expectation for the overall value is a capitalization of just over $6 billion.
