Kamala Harris PUBLICLY courts the crypto world

At a fundraising event in New York, U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris spoke for the first time about a growth plan for the crypto world
Kamala Harris pro crypto?
In a U.S. election race in which the crypto community’s favor seemed to be entirely for Donald Trump, Dem candidate Kamala Harris seems is increasingly intent on catching up.
Blatant evidence of this is the latest public appearance by the candidate, who, speaking to donors at a fundraiser held in New York in recent hours, promised to foster the growth of the cryptocurrency industry should she win the next election.
As much as a change in the Democratic side’s “direction” on crypto has already occurred in the past few months, this is the first time Harris has publicly and explicitly come out on the subject.
More specifically, the potential of emerging technologies as a function of new jobs has been leveraged, and in all of this cryptocurrencies and blockchain seem to have as much potential as AI.
Harris's move on economics
“I will bring together workers, founders and innovators from small and large companies,” Harris said, as reported by Bloomberg. “We will work together to invest in America’s competitiveness, to invest in the future by pushing innovative technologies like artificial intelligence and digital resources, while protecting our consumers and investors.”
Harris’s proposal thus takes on a broader dimension, without exposing herself on thorny issues as Donald Trump did regarding the firing of Gary Gansler from leading the SEC.
Indeed, it welcomes the intention to invest in other collateral sectors such as semiconductors andrenewable energy, while easing bureaucratic processes to benefit businesses.
The fundraiser, among others, involved high-profile Democratic officials such as New York Governor Kathy Hochul and Senator Chuck Schumer, along with several celebrities such as Anne Hathaway and Billy Porter.
