Hard Fork

The Hard Fork is a moment of major change within a protocol. It represents a cut from the past, an update that cannot be compatible with the previous situation. A hard fork can be implemented by mutual agreement by the community to improve the network, as well as occur as a result of irreconcilable disagreements between different factions.
