Trump and the first crypto 'order': Stablecoin, reserve in Bitcoin and...
By Daniele Corno
US President Donald Trump signed the first executive order for the crypto sector: No to CBDCs, yes to Stablecoin and reserve in Bitcoin

America leading the crypto sector
The first executive order related to the cryptocurrency sector was signed by President Donald TRUMP.
“Strengthening America’s leadership in digital financial technology, “ reports the first official document, toward a goal that seems ever closer.
The document opens with a general openness toward the industry:
- Maximum openness toward the use and development of public and private blockchain.
- Promote the development and growth of Stablecoin, especially those related to the dollar that use government securities as collateral.
- Regulatory clarity with neutral regulations.
- Prohibiting the establishment, issuance and circulation of CBDCs issued by central banks.
- Creation of a working group on the digital asset market.
- Evaluation of a strategic reserve in bitcoin and crypto.
Opposition to CBDCs and first hints of a crypto reserve
A document that officially marks a turning point for the industry. A setback to the goals of central banks, which see developments for their CBDCs blurring. In fact, any initiative for the creation, issuance and distribution of CDBCs “Central Bank Digital Currency” will be banned, considered as an obstacle that threatens the stability of the financial system, individual privacy and the sovereignty of the United States.
The dedicated working group on digital assets, on the other hand, in addition to working on industry regulation, will be tasked with evaluating the introduction of the famous strategic reserve in crypto-assets.
Although not much is specified about this strategic reserve, there is initial mention of assets held by the government through seizures and no mention of government purchases. This is a half-hearted success for the industry, which remains waiting to watch developments in the months to follow.
However, this starting point marks a not insignificant turning point, putting the first pieces in place for what many are calling “MASS ADOPTION,” which it is now well understood will never start with the small private individual, but will be a direction taken by governments and large institutions.
