With Trump’s first day in power, new executive orders begin . Among the first, we find the establishment of D. O.G.E.(Department of Government Efficicency).
In today’s morning, the official website of the new department was launched, not without obvious controversy. To the surprise of the public, the chosen logo depicts the famous and firstMemeCoin on the market, Doge Coin, repeatedly supported and shared in the past by Elon Musk, one of the two faces along with Vivek Ramaswamy at the head of the new department.
After between $Trump and $Melania, the attention of the meme industry has skyrocketed again , DOGE also reacts in a direct way to the choice of logo present on the site. In fact, a logo was all it took for DOGE’s price to skyrocket +15%, going from $0.34 to $0.4 within 1 hour.
After this growth, DOGE’s market cap reaches $60 billion, with over $10 billion in volumes traded in the 24 hours.
The role of DOGE.
The Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.) is tasked with making government faster and more efficient.
Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy actively lead the department, working to simplify bureaucracy and improve technology systems. They also aim to reduce unnecessary costs and eliminate outdated rules, fostering greater interagency collaboration.
With an 18-month plan , the D.O.G.E. intends to enhance the use of technology and promote modern management. For this reason, the adoption of Dogecoin ‘s logo reflects an innovative idea: combining branding and communication to engage the public and draw attention to the initiative, a controversial idea that has nonetheless attracted strong media attention.
